Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Richie Furay Concert committee, we are writing to express our thanks to the business and residential community for their support of the Millburn Pride concert featuring Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Richie Furay and his band.

More than 300 people brought down the house at Hilton Short Hills. Guests came from as far away as North Carolina to hear the legend, experience the music and support our initiative.

Our sincere thanks to our many sponsors including premier sponsors Hilton Short Hills, Nancy and David Fine Jewels, Investors Savings Bank and Karen and Mark Bigos, Daniel Cannizzo and Wendy and Chris Drucker of Towne Realty Group.

Thank you as well to our many Gold Sponsors including Professional Audio Consultants, Daniel Frieling of iVolution Meidcal Systems, Denny Klein of Rand, Feuer & Klein, LLC, Marc Gaelen of O. Berk Company, LLC, Michael Botwinick of LPL Financial Group, Saint Barnabas Medical Center and Anthony Cioffi and the staff at Boulevard Pro.

Thanks as well to Dr. Vince McGlone of New Jersey Eyecare, Andy Merkin of New Agency Partners, LLC, the staff at Paper Mill Playhouse, Rob Kurzner of Rockn’ Joe Coffeehouse and Bistro, Marc Cooperman of restaurant.mc, Bill and Judy Greenblatt and Mary Jo DeFranco of Signal Graphics. Media sponsors, The Alternative Press and Vicinity Media Group were instrumental in helping to promote the event. The generosity of all our sponsors helped to make this event a stellar success.

The concert is receiving rave reviews, calling the event "an outstanding performance" with "great music in a very personal setting." Additional comments include: "the connection with the audience was incredible" and "looking forward to the next event".

We are proud to have been the driving force behind such a well received event which far exceeded our expectations. The Chamber is committed to communicating its pride in the Millburn-Short Hills community for many years to come.

Ralph Tarnofsky is President of the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce and Owner of Professional Audio Consultants in Millburn. David Stone is Event Chair for the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce and Owner of Nancy and David Fine Jewels.

Tough economic times call for creative thought and new, innovative solutions.
