
Enjoy a "rocking "weekend at the Morris Museum! The annual Rock and Mineral Weekend will take place Thanksgiving weekend – Saturday, November 28, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 29, 1 – 5 p.m.
Presented by the Morris Museum Mineralogical Society, the weekend event is free to the public with admission to the museum. Examine rare fossils, see fluorescent mineral displays and listen to guest speakers. Events for children include a sand box scavenger hunt and mineral magic show. Top mineral, gem and fossil dealers and exhibitors will be on hand with items for purchase. Society members will be available to identify your rocks & minerals.

Visit the museum on Friday, November 27 for a fun children’s activity, Painted Rocks, 12 – 3 p.m. Children of all ages will have the opportunity to transform a rock into a favorite animal.

Admission to the museum is $10 for adults and $7 for children, students and senior citizens. Admission is free for museum members and is free to the public every Thursday between 5 and 8 p.m.
