On August 5, 2009 at approximately 2:16 p.m., Detective John Miscia and Detective Edward Mitchko arrested 33 year old Stephen Williams of Newark N.J. and charged him with possession of a schedule IV narcotic (Xanax/Alprazolam), manufacture/distribution of CDS, distribution within 1000 feet of school property, possession of narcotics in a nonprescription container, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and careless driving. Detectives observed Williams make an abrupt stop on Main St. almost causing a collision. He then made a u-turn and entered the Stop and Shop parking lot. As officers made contact with Williams in the parking lot, they noticed a pill bottle on the passenger seat as well as a pill on the rear floor of the vehicle. After a brief investigation, Williams was found to be in possession of approximately 179 Xanax pills. He was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. He was later remanded to the Morris County Jail in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.
On August 8, 2009 at approximately 10:01 p.m., Sgt. Peter Iossa arrested 47 year old Christa N. Loch of Florham Park N.J. and charged her with driving while intoxicated and careless driving. A citizen call to the Madison Police Desk alerted officers to an erratic driver on Madison Avenue. A short while later Sgt. Iossa observed the vehicle in question on Main St swerving within the traffic lane. Once stopped, Loch was found to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested. She was processed and later released to a family member.
On August 9, 2009 at approximately 3:32 a.m., Sgt. Peter Iossa arrested 28 year old Matthew B. Morrison of Morristown N.J. and charged him with driving while intoxicated, speeding and failure to keep right. Sgt. Iossa had observed Morrison traveling at 77 M.P.H. in a 65M.P.H. zone on Rt. 24. Once Morrison was stopped for this violation it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. He was later released to a friend pending his court appearance.
On August 9, 2009 at approximately 11:59 a.m., Ptl. Paul Kosakowski arrested 19 year old Johann S. Palacio of Paterson N.J. on the strength of a $200.00 Madison warrant. While on patrol, Ptl. Kosakowski observed Palacio operating a vehicle on Kings Rd. Aware that Palacio had a suspended driver’s license and an active warrant for his arrest, Palacio was stopped by the officer and ultimately taken into custody. After processing, he was issued a summons for driving while suspended and released after posting bail.
On August 9, 2009 at approximately 3:41p.m., Ptl. Craig Perrelli arrested 26 year old Andres F. Orjuela of Morristown N.J. on the strength of a $223.00 Eatontown warrant. Orjuela was stopped for running a red light on Main St. when the active warrant for his arrest was discovered. Orjuela was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was issued a summons for driving with a suspended license, failure to obey a traffic signal and released after posting bail.
On August 14, 2009 at approximately 12:38 p.m., Ptl. Chad Rybka arrested 19 year old Dylan F. Conmy of Madison N.J. on the strength of a $200.00 Madison warrant. Conmy had originally been stopped by the Chatham Boro Police when the warrant was discovered. He was then turned over to the Madison Police Department for processing. Conmy was ultimately transported to the Morris County Jail in lieu of bail.
On August 11, 2009 at approximately 11:37 p.m., Ptl. Kenneth Shannon arrested 45 year old Craig S. Burns of Morristown N.J. and charged him with defiant trespassing. Madison Police were called to a Main St. residence for a verbal dispute in progress and discovered Burns on the property. It was learned that Burns had been previously warned about being on the property by the owner. Burns was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released ROR pending his court appearance.
On August 12, 2009 at approximately 1:05p.m., Ptl Sean Plumstead arrested 24 year old Emanuel N. Gregoriades of Union N.J. on the strength of a $500.00 Madison warrant. Gregoriades was originally stopped by the Cranford Police when the warrant was discovered. He was turned over to the Madison Police Department and transported back to Madison for court.
On August 13, 2009 at approximately 8:35 p.m., Ptl. Sean McCarthy arrested 20 year old Austin A. Sykes of Harding N.J. and charged him with criminal mischief. While on foot patrol, Ptl. McCarthy heard three loud crashes on Lincoln Pl and observed Sykes walking away from three newspaper machines that where overturned. After a brief investigation Sykes was arrested for criminal mischief and transported to headquarters for processing. He was later released pending his court appearance.
On August 13, 2009 at approximately 10:40 p.m., Ptl. Carmen Decaro arrested 26 year old Raymond A Johnson of Madison on the strength of a $250.00 Madison warrant. Madison Police were summoned to the Madison Quick Chek on a report of a possible fight in progress. Upon arrival, officers determined that a vehicle had left the scene that had possibly been involved. Officer Decaro stopped the vehicle in question on Main St. and spoke to the passenger Raymond Johnson who was involved in the incident. Ultimately an active warrant was discovered for Johnson’s arrest and he was transported to headquarters for processing. He was later released ROR pending his court appearance.
On August 14, 2009 at approximately 10:45 a.m., Ptl. Craig Perrelli arrested 26 year old Christopher S. Reilly of Boonton N.J. on the strength of a $120.00 Parsippany warrant. Ptl. Perrelli had randomly run Reilly’s license plate on Rt. 24 when the warrant was discovered. Reilly was arrested and later released after posting bail.
On August 17, 2009 at approximately 7:39 p.m., Ptl. James Cavezza arrested 63 year old Woo B. Buhr of Chatham N.J. for simple assault after a family disturbance. Police were alerted by a citizen on a cell phone that a male had just thrown a female to the ground in the parking lot of a Main St. business. Upon arrival and after a brief investigation, Buhr was arrested for simple assault and transported to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released R.O.R. pending his court appearance.
On August 19, 2009 at approximately 9:40 p.m. Detective John Miscia arrested 20 year old Wilfred Lorenzo of Flanders N.J. and charged him with resisting arrest, obstructing the administration of law and hindering apprehension. While Detective Miscia was investigating the attempted robbery of the Madison Carvel he was informed that two people were in the lot behind the store changing their clothes behind a dumpster. Once confronted, Lorenzo failed to comply with officers orders and began to walk away toward the exit of the parking lot. He then took what appeared to be a fighting stance with the officer and was ultimately taken control of. He then provided numerous names, dates of birth and social security numbers to Detective Miscia. It was discovered that Lorenzo had warrants totaling $5050.00 out of Mt. Olive, Rockaway Twp., Randolph Twp., Chester Twp., and a no bail warrant out of the Morris County Prosecutors Office. After his arrest, bail was set on the Madison charges at $7,500.00 no 10%. He was then transported to the Morris County Jail. It doesn’t appear that Lorenzo had any connection with the attempted robbery.
On August 20, 2009 at approximately 2:21 a.m., Sgt. Peter Iossa arrested 27 year old Ancy J. Erisnor of Hanover N.J. and charged her with driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, careless driving and failure to keep right. While patrolling Rt. 24, Sgt. Iossa had observed Erisnor drive onto the shoulder causing an audible noise from the rumble strips. He then observed her swerve back towards the left lane. Once stopped for this violation she was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. After processing she was released to a friend pending her court appearance.
On August 21, 2009 at approximately 6:49 p.m., Ptl. Sean Plumstead arrested 20 year old Allison Bunkiewicz after a family disturbance. Madison police were requested after Bunkiewicz struck a family member in the arm several times. She was ultimately arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. After processing she was released pending her court appearance.
On August 22, 2009 at approximately 12:03 a.m., Ptl. Kenneth Shannon and Ptl. Sean Plumstead arrested 22 year old Taylor P. Bythewood-Porte of Westfield N.J. and 23 year old Zoe E. Hess of Cranford N.J. and charged them with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. While patrolling Rt. 24, Ptl. Shannon observed Bythewood-Porte operating her vehicle at 80 M.P.H. in a 65 M.P.H. zone. Based on this observation the vehicle was stopped. After a brief investigation both were found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and paraphernalia. Both individuals were arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. After processing both were released pending their court appearance. Bythewood-Porte was additionally charged with careless driving and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.
On August 22, 2009 at approximately 11:33 p.m., Ptl. Paul Kosakowski arrested 20 year old Jhojan Aguirre of Madison N.J. on the strength of a $500.00 Hanover Twp. warrant. Ptl. Kosakowski had observed Aguirre traveling on Park Ave and was aware of the active warrant for his arrest. He stopped him and ultimately took him into custody based on this warrant. After posting bail, Aguirre was released.
On August 23, 2009 at approximately 1:57 a.m. Sgt. Peter Iossa arrested 22 year old Christopher D. McHugh of Chatham N.J. and 22 year old Matthew C. Ryan of Chatham N.J. and charged them with criminal mischief. Sgt. Iossa had witnessed a group of individuals exit 54 Main St. Café who began to tear down signs that were hanging in the front of the establishment. As officers arrived, the group scattered leaving Ryan behind. McHugh was found hiding a short distance away and was taken into custody. Both were transported to headquarters for processing. After processing, both individuals were released ROR pending their court appearance. McHugh was additionally charged with obstruction for running and hiding on officers.
