Paul Naftali, O.D., announced the addition of a new associate optometrist to his expanding practice, Madison Eyes, in Madison, New Jersey.
James Lacotte, O.D., a licensed optometrist who received his degree in optometric medicine from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, began seeing patients in June. His clinical training and areas of special interest include contact lenses, pediatrics, and the treatment of ocular disease.
"Jim is an excellent addition to Madison Eyes as he shares our philosophy of teamwork, empathy and personal care that has been the hallmark of our practice," explains Dr. Naftali. "His genuine warmth and interest in our patients gives him a unique ability to connect with individuals of all ages."
Many patients familiar with the active Main Street practice may already recognize Dr. Lacotte. He served as an ophthalmic intern with Dr. Naftali while an undergraduate student at Drew University and subsequently found his way back to Madison Eyes after completing his optometry training. "The hands-on experience I gained working with Dr. Naftali made me certain that this was the practice I wanted to join," reflects Dr. Lacotte. "Dr. Naftali is an excellent teacher, friend, and doctor who has earned the trust and respect of his patients. He is a great role model."
Dr. Naftali began practicing in Madison in 1995 on Walnut Street succeeding Dr. Charles Bloom. He later expanded and moved to 48 Main Street in 2003.
Madison Eyes is a family-centered practice designed to meet the complete eye care needs of individuals and families with an emphasis on eye health, vision, comfort and style. Services offered include wellness and medical eye exams for children and adults ages six months and up, availability of high quality eyeglasses, and all types of contact lenses. Two licensed opticians are on staff providing individualized attention and style consultation. In addition, Madison Eyes offers treatment for urgent medical eye problems 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as well as pre-operative and post-operative care for laser vision correction.
With the addition of Dr. Lacotte, Madison Eyes will offer expanded hours to meet the varied schedules of local and not so local patients. "Our goal," says Dr. Naftali, "is to continue to provide the highest quality eye care in the Morris County area and beyond that doesn’t just meet but exceeds expectations."
