The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to offer an evening nature walk and guided meditation for adults, ages 18 years and older, at Trailside Nature & Science Center in Mountainside on Tuesday, June 2, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
"This program offers relaxation for body and mind, while you enjoy a short walk in a special garden on a spring evening in the Watchung Reservation," said Freeholder Chairman Alexander Mirabella.
Use nature’s healing powers to help relieve stress and its symptoms while soothing your senses on a twilight walk through a serene garden. The gated Master Gardeners’ Demonstration Garden will be open and a Master Gardener will lead a walk and answer questions. Then the group will bring the outdoors inward through a guided meditation with Caly Lehrer, founder and owner of Peace-By-Peace in Scotch Plains.
Pre-registration is preferred as space is limited. The fee is $15 for Union County residents and $20 for out-of-county participants. Walk-ins are welcome as space permits.
You are encouraged to bring a yoga mat or pillow for the meditation session. Doors open 15 minutes prior to the program.
